Calling the Swopper a chair is like saying the Guggenheim is a building. When form follows function, the result is inevitably, art. But beyond its sophisticated lines and simplistic beauty, the Swopper is uniquely designed to create motion in an otherwise static posture. It is the only seating platform in the world supporting complete freedom of movement, laterally and vertically. What's more, the convex shape of the seat promotes proper spine alignment, which in turn encourages flexibility and fluidity of the spine, hips, neck and everything in between. Created by German designer Henner Jahns, the Swopper received accolades during its exhibition at the prestigious New York Museum of Modern Art. But the real art and beauty is in its healthful benefit to the human body.
