Urban Rebounder - Book |
The Urban Rebounding Book, written by JB Berns and Jonathon A. Flaum, provides the framework for how the Urban Rebounding exercise came into existence and how the results of the exercise have been studied by NASA and a variety of Universities. No student of this exercise can fully appreciate its benefits without it. Here Are Excerpts From The Book: It is the focused intent geared toward integration of body and mind that is the foundation of the Urban Rebounding training method. In this way participants are guided not to race and not to flounder, but to intentionally focus on the shape, form and extension of every jump. To receive maximum benefit of the exercise the mind must cooperate with the flow that the body attempts to execute. For this to happen properly, the mind must not be distracted by extraneous thoughts, it must be a willing participant with the body. This state of focused integration is achieved through balance, rhythm, breath control and intention. By establishing proper rhythm, breathing follows, proper breathing brings correct intention and proper intention achieves optimum balance. This is the way it works and balance, or homeostasis, is the ultimate goal which is meant to be attained and maintained throughout. Meditation is often thought of in terms of sitting in the lotus position or a kneeling position, remaining still and breathing. But this sitting meditation is but one kind of mind/body workout.
